Tim Wissemann - President
Tim began to learn about wine in High School while working in a high end French Restaurant on Long Island, New York. His thirst for beer began while he attended Colby College and travelled to Canada to seek out different beers. After graduating  from Colby, Tim spent his time as an insurance executive and then he and his wife purchased some retail franchises located in The Maine Mall. Eventually he owned and operated a retail beverage store in Portland which he sold to start Mariner Beverages. Tim and Michelle have twin boys; one currently attends Bentley University and the other Elon University. They enjoy their dog Lil' Chief, entertaining, cooking, travelling, skiing, and of course, boating, which is where the name comes from.

Michelle Wissemann

Michelle, a Clark University graduate, started her career in Marketing and then went on to own and operate Photography and Custom Framing businesses. She joined Mariner Beverages in 2011 to help Tim grow the Company. She is CFO and VP of Operations. When not working, Michelle enjoys her family, two sons in College, traveling, tennis, photography, skiing, boating and Lil Chief.

Chris Plumstead - Sales Manager

Chris has been a member of the Mariner Beverages team since 2015 and has over 30 years of experience in sales management from the beverage and publishing worlds. He has held the same position at Central Distributors and Colonial Distributors. He is WSET level III certified and a consummate lover and enthusiast of wine and craft beer. In his personal life he plays lead, slide guitar and sings in Gunther Brown, a Portland original Americana band. Chris also enjoys collecting guitars, organic gardening, cooking, hiking and foraging mushrooms.

Neil Carroll - Operations Manager

Neil keeps things running smoothly. With Mariner since 2008, Neil started as a delivery guy and paid attention to what goes on. He processes orders and takes care of inventory. When not working, Neil plays drums in a rock and roll band. When you need to get an answer, Neil is the man. A University of Maine grad and an avid New England sports fan, Neil likes nothing better than a big bold red watching the Bruins or a chilled sour watching the Red Sox.

Phil - Sales Representative

Phil has been working at Mariner Beverages since 2009 and covers sales for the midcoast region. He has taken many wine courses and recently finished a Wine Making class at the University of California, Davis and will continue to pursue his wine knowledge at Davis. When not out selling Mariner products he enjoys fine woodworking, foraging for wild mushrooms, biking and spending time with family. A graduate of the University of Maine, Phil worked at L.L. Bean for 23 years in Product Development, Inventory, Retail and Customer Service prior to joining Mariner.

Ezra - Sales Representative

Ezra joined Mariner in 2012 after working as a representative for Central Distributors. Having the dubious distinction of growing up in Massachusetts, Ezra fell in love with Maine while attending The College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor. He is a veteran of the restaurant industry; his last position being beverage director for Havana Restaurant. He fell in love with wine while living and working in San Francisco at the acclaimed 2 Michelin Star Restaurant, Aqua. He passed the advanced level WSET with Distinction. He really wants you to like him.

Glenn "Ebo"- Account Developement

Glenn Eben Perry, a.k.a. Ebo, has a long history of fun and games with food and drink. It all started in his days at Bowdoin College. Older boys and girls will remember him from Portland restaurants of the 80's. In the 90's he sold wine and beer for Colonial Distributors and National Distributors. He then took a hiatus to sell pharmacueticals before joing Mariner Beverages in 2013. He still plays in a cover band, "Misspent Youth", and likes nothing more than an IPA, or a glass of rose' and a BLT. Ebo loves the business.

Kevin - Sales Representative

Before joining Mariner, Kevin worked many years in the restaurant industry from Aspen to Boston to Nashville and eventually Maine.  Tired of the demands in the restaurant industry schedule, he made the switch to the world of beer and wine distribution.  Kevin has been with Mariner since 2013, first as a driver, and now as a sales rep for western Maine and parts of southern Maine.  When not selling some of Maine's best liquid offerings, Kevin enjoys playing music in local bands, sipping a robust red or local craft brew on the porch, skiing and spending time with his kids. 

Kirk - Sales Representative

After graduating from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Kirk became a bartender to take advantage of the seasonal schedule and ability to spend summers in an idillic landscape. Twelve years later, after extensive travel, Kirk moved to Portland and has bartended at some of the city's cornerstone restaurants and finally managing the bar and beverage portfolio at Street & Co. Happy to be mixing things up, Kirk enjoys bringing his extensive wine and beer knowledge and customer service skills to York County for Mariner Beverages. In his off time he enjoys exploring the State of Maine in all sorts of ways, hiking, skiing, sailing and drinking!

Luke - Sales Representative

Luke joined Mariner Beverages in 2017 after spending the past 15 years in the restaurant and beverage business. He is a graduate of Bangor High and Bridgton Academy. He lives in Bar Harbor with his family and enjoys all of the things the area has to offer. 

Tammy- Sales Representative

Tammy joined Mariner Beverages in 2017, bringing a wealth of experience in exceptional customer service. When she's not working, she's spending quality time with her family and friends, cooking and listening to music.  

Donna - Sales Representative  

Donna lives in a 215 year old house in the mid-coast. She moved to the area with her husband in 2016 to be closer to her Grandchildren and family. She has been a Wine, Beer and Cheese specialist most recently at Rising Tide Community Market in Damariscotta. She spent the previous 21 years as Director at Public Libraries in Brewer and Presque Isle. She enjoys spending time with family and her 3 large dogs, traveling and of course wine. 

Mike Adell - Warehouse Manager

Mike has been a member of the Mariner Team since 2012. He joined Mariner after several years in a similar position with Native Maine Produce and Specialty Foods. Mike enjoys loud music in the warehouse while he keeps it functioning seemlessly. He is an avid New England sports fan.  In his off time he enjoys going to Celtics games and  relaxing with family and friends, 

Ernie "Elvis" - Delivery & Warehouse

Ernie has been with Mariner since 2007. He is the elder statesman in many ways. Ernie previously worked as a deliver driver for Tally's. When Ernie is not working, he enjoys old time Rock and Roll, cooking, and his little tiny fluffy dog named Thor.

Shawn - Delivery & Warehouse

Shawn came to Mariner in 2013 from FedEx where they have taught him the finer points of logistics and delivery. He has been a valuable member coming to work every day with a smile. When not drinking beer he enjoys rooting for all New England Sports teams as well as snowboarding.

Chris - Lead Delivery, Warehouse, CSR

A Connecticut native and graduate of The University of Hartford.  Chris joined Mariner Beverages in 2015 with a wealth of customer service skills.  When not working at Mariner Chris can be found with his camera enjoying freelance photography and video production.

Eric - Delivery Driver & Warehouse

With a background in the restaurant business and a Bachelor of Music from USM, Eric is a talented multi-instumentalist, who enjoys performing, arranging and recording music. He has been welcome addition to the Mariner "Band" since 2015. Eric is also an avid sailor, who you will most likely find exploring the islands of Casco Bay aboard his sailboat, Counterpoint.

Brendan - Delivery Driver & Warehouse

Brendan has a wealth of wine distributing and customer service experience in Massachusetts. His passion lies in music where he writes, records and performs music in his spare time. Another great addition to the Mariner "Band" since 2015. 

Jared - Delivery Driver & Warehouse

Jared has a lengthy background in the service & music industries. Outside of Mariner Beverages he can be found working or attending a wide array of concert events in the local music scene as well as all over the country. 

Drew - Merchandiser, Driver, Customer Service

A jack of all trades, Drew brings a variety of experience in property management, customer service, merchandising skills.  In his off time he is studying for a degree in Game Design & Developement and enjoys working with horses. 

Mike - Delivery Driver & Warehouse

Mike is a graduate of USM with a degree in Management and Entrepreneurship. He brings customer service skills and a positive attitude to Mariner. He plays multiple instruments in multiple bands enjoying the local music scene. 

Joe - Delivery Driver & Warehouse

Joe moved back to Maine in 2017 after working for a Wine & Spririts Distributor in Massachusetts.  He has a wealth of delivery and customer service experience. He enjoys all Maine has to offer. 

Mary - Administrative Assistant

Mary hails from the Lewiston-Auburn area.  While attending college, she fell in love with Portland and moved down after graduation. Mary brings administrative support and over 10 years of customer service expierence to the Mariner Team. When she isn't at he office, she is working on her art. In her free time Mary also enjoys going to the gym and taking salsa lessons.
